how to de-lime your kettle (the non-toxic way)

our kettle packed it in recently, and in an effort to save money and recycle - my grandma kindly gave us a spare alessi kettle she had in her loftspace.

having not been used in years it had accumulated LOTS of limescale so i set to work cleaning both interior and exterior to boil us a cuppa (with a newborn and a toddler, we certainly need one).

hopefully these tips work for you too.
