four months of marlow
This month you celebrated your very first Christmas surrounded by family. We spent the morning at your nanny Marji's where we dressed you up in a pink tutu (oh how cute you looked!) and afterwards to our house with your aunty, uncles, Nama and Grandad for some of Daddy's delicious cooking. For his first big Christmas dinner he pulled off quite the feast and invented his own vegetarian wellington. You were your normal cheery self and everyone got to enjoy plenty of cuddles. I have to say - waking up to your smily face on your first Christmas morn’ is now a memory which is rooted in my memory bank forever.
Each month we learn more and more about you, the things you love and the things that frustrate you. Some of my favourites about this very special month included:
How very slobbery you were! You always had your hands in your mouth and want to chew on absolutely everything!
You grab fistfuls of my hair constantly!
Each time we eat you watch us and laugh - I can't imagine how excited you will be when you finally get to taste everything.
You started to reach for things you wanted this month, but as you don't have much control over your movements yet, you tend to hit yourself in the face repeatedly often… BUT a couple of days before you turned four months you really got the hang of this and we are both so proud of you.
When your daddy comes home from work now you give him the biggest grins.
The boob is no longer as exciting as everything else in the room and you constantly throw yourself back into the yoga pose ‘the crab' or ‘the fish’ to see what else is happening (often exposing me!)
Things that work to cheer you up include kisses, blowing gently on your face and playing with your little tootsies.
You wiggle in bed ALOT!
