one whole month of you and our world has changed so beautifully
oh how much we love you
that first week
your entrance to the world was simply unforgettable roo
you were super windy but luckily your dad was a pro at settling you
very precious about your hands
youve mastered breastfeeding within the week
nights have been variable, some nights you wake every hour and others around three times a night, all i know is the sleeplessness is totally worth it and i love our quiet, bonding time overnight
the angry cry
and eat, sleep, poop… repeat
your second week
im on antibiotics so you have had a week of really loose poops… meaning lots of handwashing for mama and an upset tummy for you
you sleep a l o t and have crept into our bed some nights as we have been unable to settle you
you are no longer curling up like a little froggie all the time (im particularly sad about this)
unlike your big sister you are soothed by the motion of the car
youve already started to regain your weight - weighing in at 7lbs 2oz at 10 days old
opening your big blue eyes so much more
we took our first family day trip to marine lake and you were as good as gold
Your third week
you are still having total poo-sploshions which cover all your clothes (thanks for that)
eyes wide open
you enjoyed your very first bath with your big sister marlow
and surpassed your birthweight at 8lbs and 5oz when precisely three weeks old! wow
we took you on the mersey for your first ever ferry boat and your daddy lay you down on the grass in the park …

four weeks young
love to chew on your hands and wrists
such a strong superwoman, you are holding up your head already
you ADORE kisses, especially on your lips
still really colicky and its hard to watch you turn tomato red and scrunch your fists and legs up in pain
sleeping best overnight when laid beside your daddy
that startle response when your sister makes a loud noise… youve been finding it really hard to catch a wink this week because your big sister keeps coming over for kisses when you drop off
and just like your mama you sometimes stretch out and separate your teeny tiny toes which is dang cute
